Gross things I observed at the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale...things I couldn't understand, things I wouldn't understand...things I shouldn't understand
It's that notorious time of year again when Victoria's Secret does their semi-annual sale. Bras, lingerie, PJ's--all 50-75% off. Then there's the beauty section. This is what I really find good bargains in. $54 perfume sets reduced to $14.99. Now that's my idea of a good sale. I was in the Victoria's Secret store at Town Center at Boca Raton late last night. The store was mobbed. The lines were out the door. I would hate to see the place at prime shopping time on a Saturday afternoon. Anyway, I was just beyond freaked out when I saw these women opening lip glosses trying them on their lips and hands and then shoving them back into the boxes. With a tube of lip gloss, it's really difficult to tell if it's been used or not--especially if there is no seal. I found the chicest light-up lip glosses for $8 and I was paranoid to buy one because of what I was witnessing. The saleswoman in the beauty department was desperately trying to keep the masses from opening the products, but it was an impossible task. The women would just not cooperate. And I was really sad and grossed out. Why can't people just respect the fact that unless they're going to buy it, they shouldn't use it and stick it back in the box.
