« | Main | Don't feel bad Britney. I can't get my hands on any of the killer bags from this collection... »

I have to give a big, "You go girl!" out to model Lydia Hearst . Hearst, who often comes to Miami to party at places like Hotel Victor, allegedly denied Britney Spears' request for a limited edition Puma for Heatherette clutch bag she designed. Hearst only made 100 of the handbags and said: "I'm only giving the bag to accomplished young women who are doing something positive to affect the world around them."
So who made the cut to get comped for one of Hearst's limited edition bags?
Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anne Hathaway of course!
"They are women I look up to and respect," Hearst says. "They share the same high standards, and give back to the communities in which they live."

Normally, designers are chomping at the bit to get any celeb (even the d-listers) to wear their garb, but Hearst has standards and I think that's pretty darn sexy. Besides when you reject a major celeb from wearing your design, that only makes the value shoot up like the fountains at The Belagio.

A spy blabbed to the New York Daily News that Spears promised to carry it to her front-row seat at The Heatherette show during New York Fashion Week where she would be photographed with it.
In the end, Spears left empty-handed and never stuck around for the show.

While Spears' recent behavior speaks for itself and we have little motive to believe the people she's paying to make her look good, the former pop star's representative, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, has denied the reports, saying: "It's not true."
