Yellow Strawberry Global Hair Salon, on Las Olas Blvd., in Fort Lauderdale, is hosting a cutathon Sunday, Nov. 5, from noon to 4 p.m. Yellow Strawberry will cut, color and style hair, with all proceeds donated to The Humanity Project, which is a new social movement based in Fort Lauderdale. It's all about making you feel healthier, stronger and happier as part of building a better world.

Stylist-to-the-stars Maurice Tidy, former creative director at Vidal Sassoon will be there. Tidy has cut hair for the Beatles, Naomi Campbell, Isabella Rosellini and many others. Normal prices will be in effect during the event, starting at $35 for a man’s cut and $60 for a woman’s cut.
The two master stylists and the nonprofit group also will make a special offer during the Cutathon for Humanity: For a $5,000 donation to the organization, you can select a special cut styled by either Briggs or Tidy – and receive prestigious designation as a "Hero for Humanity" on the Internet. The group’s website will prominently feature the names of all those who make "Hero for Humanity" donations. (As they should for such generosity!)
